What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a modified tattoo technique that closely resembles your own natural hair follicles. We literally tattoo what looks like thousands and thousands of tiny hair follicles in between your existing hair strands to give the appearance of having up to 10 times more hair.
Many men and women try to achieve a similar look of more coverage by using toppik, shadows or other hair make-up sprays. SMP is a great way to get rid of the daily hassle and opt for a more natural, long term solution. This will open up your options and you will no longer have to worry about getting your head wet, sweating, or destroying clothes and pillowcases. You can now look and feel your best at all times.
SMP is typically performed in 3-4 sessions. There is little to no downtime, and you can resume normal everyday activities with minimal physical limitations within the first week. Most feel that the needle pricks are tolerable and rate the pain level as a 3 out of 10.
